I was wondering whcih powerbook to get.

Here are my options:

i could get a 1.5 ghz 15" with an external DVD burner

or
i could shell out the extra $$$ for a 1.67 Ghz powerbook with teh internal superdrive

any opinions? will there really be ANY difference at all performance-wise between the 1.5 Ghz and teh 1.67 Ghz processor?

Performance wise, probably not. But you do get some added features such as the cool new trackpad, the brighter keyboard lights, the hard drive sensor, etc...

Why not get the 15" 1.5 + Superdrive ? It's a shame to take an external burner with a laptop.
I'm pretty sure you won't see any difference between the 1.5 and the 1.67. You would save $150 compared to the 1.67 if you use "build to order" with the 1.5.

When you go to sell it, it'll be a lot more valuable with the SuperDrive built-in.

You can get a superdrive BTO on the 1.5 ghz model. I would say that that is the best way to go.
