I heard that you can use your powerbook (actually most laptops I believe) as a wireless hub, in that you can create a LAN connection without the use of a router or any otheer hardware besides the computers you want to connect (assuming they all have wireless). Basically I want to be able to play starcraft wirelessly with other people without a router/wireless hub. Is there a setting or something for this or does it not work? Thanks for your help.

You can set up a computer to computer network from the Airport menu. I'm not sure how to have more than 2 computers work like this, though. I think you need a base station or hub for this. Base stations are cheap. Why not just spring for one?

Ok I figured it out:
System Preferences -> sharing -> internet check the box that says airport and click start. That's for Tiger anyway, should be similar for other OSX. The reason I'm not springing for a hub is because this will be on a large bus on my choir tour . No power for a hub, nor do I want to have to bring all the extra hardware.
