Hi There,
Ive had my ibook g4 for a couple of months now, just wondering if it is possible to DIY fit the internal bluetooth. I stupidly didnt order it (not sure why) from apple and am using a USB bluetooth dongle but it sticks out and looks very ugly..........

I asked an Apple tech, and he said he could do it. I too was impatient and ignorant and didn't get one with bluetooth. I'm not too tech savy and didn't really know what bluetooth was good for. I would love a wireless mouse, and I'm not going with a dongle.
The parts list and labour came to $150 CDN (as opposed to $65 if I ordered it with it), so I'm not going to do it until I put in a super drive and larger hard drive, so he only has to take it apart once.
Unless you know what you are doing (I don't), I wouldn't even think of doing it myself. I'm a pretty good diy-er, but I gotta draw the line. i managed to wreck the airport antenna just putting in RAM. Hammer-hands.

Thanks for the reply
i love using the apple wireless mouse but the usb dongle sticking out does annoy me. there is no way i would be able to take my ibook apart if its any more complex than fitting RAM.
