This is a question for all powerbook and motorola razr users. Is it possible, through cingular, to use the razr in bluetooth mode and connect to the internet, using the bluetooth razr as a modem?

Do you have to pay cingular more money for this service?

I am a complete newbie when it comes to cell phones, the one I have now is a v60, and I think it is finally time for an upgrade. I am looking for a slim phone, and I think this could be a good one, but I'd really like to be able to use it with my powerbook to have internet access anywhere.

A great place to get info is www.howardforums.com. I believe you can do what you want to do, but check there. I have Cingular with a V551 and can connect via bluetooth, so figure the Razr would also work. Cingular actually has techs tht know something about macs -- even though they don't "support" macs!

Good luck!
Mary

I STRONGLY advise you not to get a Motorola RAZR V3 for wireless internet access. The Cingular Motorola RAZR V3 is not an EDGE enabled phone and gets terrible downstream rates.
