I have a feeling that it is.. I'm sure I read something about this a while back. If I remember correctly you have to let Apple know some details for it to be transfered.

But don't trust me. Wait for someone else to confirm what I've said.

It is, but last I knew you had to mail apple a letter to come place in texas with all the information to get it done. Hopefully they made some more convenient way to get it done.

8. Transfer of Plan
You may transfer this Plan to a new owner of the Covered Equipment. If you purchased the Plan in the U.S. or Canada, transfer by sending written notice to AppleCare Administration, P.O. Box 149125, Austin, TX 78714-9125, U.S. You must provide the Plan's enrollment or agreement number, the serial numbers of the Covered Equipment being transferred, proof of purchase of the Plan, and the name and address of the new owner. For Plans purchased and enrolled/activated outside the U.S. or Canada, please contact the regional Apple subsidiary for the country of purchase.

Yeah, mainly by mail, but I managed to achieve this by phone. How did I do this?

a) I didn't really know how to transfer this warranty, so I called AppleCare.
First guy told me I needed to mail certain stuff, blah blah blah. I told him I bought my stuff online and asked if he could look up the original receipt, as I didn't have it. He transferred me to someone else. I was on hold for 10-15 minutes.

b) The new person didn't know what I was calling about. Once I told her she went to look it up. This took her another 10 minutes, because when she got back on the line she explained that she could find the recipt for my PB but not my AppleCare. I told her I bought them at the same time, and she said she'd put me on hold again.

c) At this point I was really tired of being on hold and asked her if it'd take long. She told me it'd be quick, and came back within a minute or so. She apologized for making me wait so long on the phone and told me she'd just take the new owner's info and transfer the warranty for me.
