Problems with CD burning on Combo Drive

	My Ti 867 suddenly developed an inability to burn CDs recently. It can play DVDs/CDs but when I try to burn from iTunes/Toast/Finder/iPhoto it says Drive Failed to Respond. I have run a hardware test and the drive passed. There really isn't anything else wrong with my TiBook and I am wondering if this is some sort of driver/firmware issue? Btw, I am running 10.4.1 (and the burner worked fine after that update). I am at my wits' end trying to figure this out. Any ideas?
