right now I'm eyeing the Marware Sportfolio Sleeve to put my 12" PB into my school backpack to carry around every day. is there a slimmer sleeve out there? I looked at the Crumpler School Hymn, but I'm not really feeling the hard shell case. is the sportfolio my best bet?

The Tumi sleeve for 12" notebooks is your best bet. It runs about $50 and it will protect your PB relatively well considering it's size. The sides are not soft like the Marware sleeve.

If you want something slimmer, its not going to protect your PB from dents. I suppose if you just need scratch protection you can get the "Sleevz" from rad-tech.

I bought a marware sleve for my laptops . They provide good protection and are fully padded and finished inside, so nothing scrapes the laptop (no scratches).
