have searched this forum but haven't found any current threads (i.e. within past six months) re wireless optical mouse recommendations.

I have the 12" iBook. I use a wired mouse at home and the mouse works just fine (both buttons and scroll wheel). However, I picked up a Targus "bluetooth" that works okay but the scroll wheel has never worked.

Since I'm doing more traveling, this lack of functionality is causing me to go slightly bonkers ... but likely will cause me to go screaming into the night if I can't get a replacement.

So, I'm looking for:
- wireless optical mouse (need not be bluetooth);
- small form factor so I can use it in small places and pack it in the backpack carrier (I like the size of the Targus -- it's about 3" long and less than 2" wide)
- two-button functionality; and,
- scroll-wheel functionality.
It would be nice if it was aesthetically consistent with the iBook but not necessary.

It would be really nice if it could summon a cold gin 'n tonic or iced tea ... but I digress.

Any help would be appreciated ... I thought I had the answer with the BenQ M310 but saw a Cnet review that said it doesn't function with a G4 running Tiger (alas).

I extremely highly recommend the BTMicro from Macally. I've been using mine for a while now, and it is great. It looks and feels awesome, matches your iBook perfectly in aesthetics, and has worked perfectly so far.
