My iBook G4 is just 3 weeks old and I would like to re-install everything back to its brand new factory state. I have messed it up with all kinds of configurations, and dowloaded many freewares that turned out to be useless. The iBook came with a few software CDs. As I am not familiar with the Mac system, can you explain, or direct me to detailed step-by-step instructions of how to re-install everything? Thanks.

Disk Utility. Erase. Have your software discs ready to reinstall.

Your iBook should have come with 2 restore DVDs. Put disk 1 into the drive and restart your computer. When it starts booting, hold down the "c" key and it will boot from the DVD.

After that it's all straight forward.
