Hey everyone,
I recently got my 17" powerbook and i'm stoked, the only problem is the input. Basicly, what i'm wanting to do is hook up my drum machine into the input and be able to hear it through the output. I've been looking in the sound preferences but, it seems like everything there is normal...is there some kind of hidden option somewhere? Any help would be greatly appreciated, can't wait to get the studio working :]

Have you tried playing with /Applications/Utilities/Audio MIDI Setup?

Analogika could probably best help you out.

Edit: I see what you're asking for. You want your PowerBook's speakers to act as monitors for your audio input. I think some of the freebie sound recording apps give you the option to do this. Do you have Garageband?
