Hi,

I'm about to head to Europe w/ my new Powerbook G4. I see the Apple World Travel Adapter Kit at the Apple Store, but I don't think I have time to get that delivered. Is there anything about that set that makes it necessary? I mean, couldn't I get the same adapters at Radio Shack? I know Apple tends to be proprietary about compatibility, so I wanted to check here before I screw things up.

Thanks!

the apple adapters just fit into the slot where u can either put the extension cable or the plug into the apple adapter square thing (not sure whats called). i got a set of them for when i took my ipod across the pacific to hong kong and china. useful things. i shall use them even more when i take my pb to a foreign country in the future. im sure you can just get some adapters over there. the apple ones just fit nicely into the hardware they provide for you

Unless this link has expired, go to this page... Scroll down, kensington travel adaptor...

http://store.apple.com/Apple/WebObje....0.11.1.0.6.12

I think one of those will do nicely... Just get the equivalent in the US before you travel...
