guys, i bought a 15" Powerbook, 1.33ghz, 256mb, combo, ect ... i also bought a stick of memory (1gb) for it. so yesterday, i take out the stick of 256, and put the 1gb in there... i then attempted to put the 256mb stick in the second slot ... and it just wouldn't go in! i tried, and it seemed like if i forced it any harder it might not be safe... so i just left the 1gb stick in and the second slot empty.

... does my laptop have a second slot? how hard should it be? ... maybe the first one went in easier because there had always been one in there, and never any in the second?

any tips? .. thanks!

Push until it you can snap it down. Try wiggling it. Make sure there's no debris block the memory from going in.

Putting in the RAM is two steps: pushing it in all the way, and then tilting it down till it's snapped in. Chances areyou need to push it in deeper: you should not be able to see any of the gold contacts before tilting down the module.
