does anyone's powerbook not sit right on a flat surface? my case must be mishapened cuz whenever it sits on a flat surface, it teaters back and forth like a table with different sized legs...is this normal?

Yes, it's fairly common. There are a ton of threads on it. Do a search for "powerbook wobble."

yeah, especially with the 12".
you can "fix" this by figuring out which corner is "up" and then placing the powerbook on the edge of a table with that corner hanging off and then GENTLY push down on that corner. it really takes almost no pressure and that should remedy your warp.
sometimes it comes back, so just do it again when it does.

Close the lid, turn it upside down and give all the ruber feet a push in.
They just come disloged sometimes.

No. You're thinking of the iBook. The Powerbook feet are permanently attached. I like my twist method better than pushing down over the edge of a table, but it has the same results.

no, its completely fine to nudge the case back into shape. i've done it to 3 different albooks over the past 2 years and it works just fine.
you can try steve's twist method if you'd rather, they both have the same result.
aluminum is flexy, so don't worry about it.
