im trying to reinstall my OSX (panther) when i insert the disk, then click to restart the comp and reload everything, i click restart, type in my password and then nothing happens.
Well yes, there is another way. Just insert the disk. Then shut the machine down. When you reboot, hold the C key down to force the computer to boot from the optical drive.
