So, I'm having troubles burning some DVDs (of concerts I've downloaded from BT). Here's the problem(s). I'm burning in Toast and in NSTC format. I drag the VIDEO_TS folder into the area, hit burn. I go to play it but the menu doesn't work (the menu will flash up for ~.5 sec. then go straight into playing) and then the audio is about a half second behind the video. I can play these faulty DVDs in any of my DVD players and my mac. So, I try burning in PAL, hit burn, and a pop-up says "changed to NSTC" so I say "****," it burns, same exact faults. Next, I try burning it in Finder, just drag the VIDEO_TS file in and hit burn, it burns. Go to play it in my PS2, fantastic! Everything is great. Go to show it to my brother and play it in his DVD player, splendid! Go to play it on my DVD player, bullocks! Go to play it in my mac, balls! "Selected disc not available." Screw around with the DVD player on my mac, find "play video_ts folder" and it plays. So, to sum up, I NEED to find a way to burn these DVDs so that the menu works, the audio and video is synced up, and it plays in all of my players. Anyone know why this is happening?

In Toast, are you selecting DVD-ROM (UDF)? Are you putting the name of the DVD in all caps? Have you tried adding an empty AUDIO_TS folder on the DVDs?

No, DVD-Video. No, I usually just leave it as "My DVD" (assuming that's the naming you are reffering to). No, I haven't tried an empty AUDIO_TS folder. I'd appreciate greatly if you'd tell me (or direct me to a place where I could find them) the proper way of burning a DVD in Toast. thanks

You should be under the Data tab and select DVD-ROM (UDF). To be most compatible, all DVDs should have the title in all caps with nothing other than letters, numbers, and the underscore (_) in the title. You also should always add an empty folder called AUDIO_TS. The Video tab in Toast is only for creating video disks from scratch. There is the "DVD-Video from VIDEO_TS" option, but I never use it and I'm not sure how it is different from my method (unless it won't let you add an AUDIO_TS folder). Since I have never had a problem with disks created through the data tab, I've never tried it. And what does this have to do with Powerbooks again?
