i own a 15 inch albook 1.5 and when i went to put in my 1 gig ram stick it seemed like the other ram slot may also be user accessible. does anybody know if it is or not cause id sure like to drop another gig in there.

Yes, the 15s and 17s can handle 2 1GB ram sticks. The 12 can only add one stick for 1.25GB of ram.

Doesn't sound like a good deal to me. You can buy a new 12" PB Combo on Apple.com for $1500 then get 1 GB Ram for around $100 online.

Just my thoughts though...

i know they can handle 2 gigs but i was wondering if both slots are user accessible as opposed to some macs only having one user access slot and one factory access slot.

Yes as Randman stated, 15" and 17" can handle 2 1 GB sticks via 2 user accessible ram slots. The 12" only has 1 user accessible and 256 non-accessible (for a max of 1.25 GB).

Those "some Macs" being the G4 iMac only, assuming we're talking only about halfway recent Macs. That's the only Mac in years that didn't have all its RAM totally user accessible.
