the title says it all really. i get my pb in a month and im wonderin if any of u guys have accessory recommendations for a mac noob. i pretty much need a shove in the riht direction so i dont waste $ on useless stuff.

I keep my Powerbook in a Marware sleeve (Enven when its in my backback). I keep my rascal wrapped.

Ram. Get as much as you an afford. An iCurve is good.

I recommend getting a booq viper sleeve. Good quality and a good price. Does anyone know of a good two-button bluetooth mouse?

A bluetooth wireless mouse. Really handy thing to have.
Also, an isight, even if you don't use it for video messaging, the quality is unbelievable. Close dvd quality!

Of course, an ipod is a must.

why would you use a sleeve? are the keyboard/screen protectors worth it?

i ask as i will be getting a pb 15" soon (-ish. sept/oct) and wondering if the above items are worth the money? i will be getting a backpack to tote it around with me, but i have read a few things that make it sound like a sleeve is good in addition to the other carrying case being used. if using a sleeve, does the 'book stay in while you are using it?

I use the Radtech sleeve mostly when traveling. I hate taking the PB out cold and putting it a plastic tray at the airport.

I use the screen cloth to clean the screen and keep dust from entering the keyboard. And also to keep a little separation between the screen and keyboard when it's closed.

powerbooks are prone to pitting in the areas to the right and left of the trackpad so you may want to consider getting palmests/covers specifically made for that. forget the mouse unless you're getting a keyboard. instead, learn to become proficient with the trackpad.

Get a good bag and learn to love the trackpad. The trackpad on macs are one of thy best I've used I've gone through Toshiba and Dells and their track pads suck.
