Hey Guys!
I'm a student, and recently got my Powerbook and iPod in the mail.

The student discount says I need to mail in the upc code from each (the powerbook and the iPod), but i'm unsure which 2 to send in.

Do I send in the ones from the actual boxes, or the ones from the outer brown packaging material? I have 4 upc codes sitting here. Which did you guys send in?

Thanks!

The ones from the black Apple boxes that the product actually came in, not the brown shipping boxes.

Just think, if you would have bought it at the store, you wouldn't have the brown boxes eh?

Mail the original UPC to "Student Union" for your iPod rebate.
Mail a copy of the UPC for the Printer Rebate. (On the rebate form, tell them "Original UPC sent to Student Union"... That's it.

Did you get Microsoft Office too with the Rebate? Just a receipt.

Actually it was for the ipod rebate, not printer.

Next question - I ordered online, and my email is the only "receipt" I got. I guess that will suffice?

Original goes to the "iPod Rebate".

It should. I'm not sure. Maybe call Apple and find out first.

I don't know if its changed, but last year I used the UPC from the outside brown box and didn't have any problems. There wasn't anything different between that one and the one on the inside box so I don't see why it would matter.

I was under the impression that the original goes to the printer people and the copy goes to Apple, but things could have changed since I did it.
