I use an ivory white dual USB iBook. I have had no problem using blank CDR's to store music and data on. My CD burner has been flawless in it's ability to burn such CDRs. However, I recently purchased a 10 pack of CD-RW disks to use for certain data backups that I constantly change. What is happening, though, is that each time I try to burn a disk with data that I have backed up onto it using the finder method, I get an error message telling me that it could not burn the disk then I am forced to eject the disk and thus loose all of the data that I backed up onto it. I heard something about how apple CD burners can't utitlize CD-RW's. Is this true ??? Am I not able to use these types of disks ??? If not, is there any thrid-party apps that I can use to burn such CD-RW's or is there a driver that I can install for my existing CD Drive that will enable it to burn CD-RW's ??? Any an all guidance given is greatly appreciative. Peace out . .

Any iBook with a burner can use CD-RW discs.
If you want a good 3rd party app to burn discs with, I suggest Toast.

Thanks. Now I am baffled. Why, then, am I getting an error message indicating that folders I have just backed up to a CD-RW disk cannot be burned I wonder ??? Is it possible to format a disk for use with Mac OSX ??? I am wondering if the disks I bought are not formatted to work with my system. I am running OS X 10.2.8 currently. I will check out toast. Thanks for the heads up. I have heard good things about it but don't know that much about it. Peace out . . .
