I bought a Sony VAIO desktop to accompany my aging ibook as I was running out of space. What is the best (quick, cheap, and/or easy?) way to transfer 2000 songs from the ibook to the Sony. (Buy an imac? Well, perhaps...but my wife needed this one for work). Thanks.

If you have an iPod, I would use that... otherwise network them... search the forum and you should find a few people explaining how to do that... or check Apple's website.

Thanks. I was wondering about my ipod. However, I'm worried. If I plug my nearly full ipod into the sony (which has no songs in it), wouldn't that simply erase all songs on the ipod when it updates to the new computer? Thanks. Ryan
