Is there a dvd back up solution for the mac? Will idvd allow you to back up your dvd’s?

I am in the market for a 12” mac laptop, and was thinking I book, but then I realized that if I could backup movies on the laptop, a powerbook would probably be a better solution? I guess either way ibook/powerbook doesn’t matter to me just something that will suit my needs.. so if you would please educate me I would greatly appreciate it.

DVDs of movies? A quick search will do the trick. Search for 'popcorn'.

This has been discussed in numerous threads already. MacTheRipper (freeware) and Roxio's Popcorn (inexpensive commercial) is the cheapest route, and works well. You need both.

thanks for your quick replys guys.. ill try to use the search, basicly my winblows machine is crashing on me every 4-5min... so i didnt have time to search, just to find out that i could get the mac to do what i wanted it to... thanks a bunch again.
