My 12" powerbook, about a year old, no applecare

the other morning it was running insanely slow. i rebooted, it just hung at the apple. booted my tiger CD, ran disk utility, fixed something about an index error, now all is fine. except when i tilt the machine slightly, if i put my ear by the HD, i can hear it whirring, almost like it's working overtime. i never noticed this before, is it normal? when i tilt it back to flat it goes silent again.

About a year old? If less than a year old, take it in. You can also buy A/C up till one year from the date of purchase.

Disk Warrior! It's very good at diagnosing hard-drives for potential failure.
