I'm looking for a Webcam for my 12" PB so that my girlfriend and I can still "see" each other after we go off to college. I'm trying to decide if I should get Apple's iSight, or a 3rd party webcam. I'm interested in the Logitech Quickcam Orbit , it looks like it's better than the iSight and also less expensive, can anyone confirm this?

My only concern is that the iSight may function better with OSX than the Logitech...

Looks nice. What I like better about the iSight, that make it worth its price compared to the Logitech cam you linked to are the following :

• FireWire connection
• Built-in microphone
• Lens iris, you can close the lens, make sure no one is looking in
• The stands that come with it, for all screens and desks

I'm very pleased with the iSight. In darker rooms it is not a champ, but with good ligting it does look very good.
