My first Mac but I have some problems... It keeps crashing in everything (well not everything).

1st crash - It started crashing when I'm using the PB in clamshell mode with an external monitor (Sony 20"). At first it crashed out of Safari when I'm surfing. I thought it might be the website. I restart Safari and try to go back to same website crashed. So I resarted the PB. Fine after that.

2nd crash - An hour after rebooting (see above) it crashed and told me to restart PB - crashed during a screensaver. (yes external monitor still plugged in)

3rd crash - Surfing on Safari again - crashed out of it 5 times reading Sports Illustrated. Also crashed out of Illustrator. (yes external monitor still plugged in)

I'm getting tired of all this crashing any help is greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Did you check for bad ram?

OK, found out how to do a hardware check. This is the error message I got -

Error Code
2 mem/101/4:SODIMMO/J20 Standard

Does that mean both are bad ram or just one? And if it's one is it the one closer to me?
Thanks for helping a newbie to Macs.

At least one is bad. Take one out and see what it shows. Then take it out, replace it and try again.

I hope it's the ram and not the slot (I've been reading on other posts). If it's the ram, I hope kingston replaces it. I lost the receipt too! Man ^%#@! always happens in threes. Oh well. Thanks Randman!
