I have a dead powerbook G3. Its a black one and all that happens when i turn it on is a apple computer logo (with face) shows in the center of the screen.
I tried so many things, to boot of Cd, to zap the pram but nothing is working. Noting at all. Is there a expert who can give a helping hand?
Thanks to all

I assume you're talking about the smiley comuter one.
Leave it on for a while and see what happens, just forget about it and come back later.
Is it still the same?
It may be that it's looking for a startup disk and can't find one so is hunting around looking for something to boot off.

fixed it. Yeh you were right , it couldent find a boot/startup disc. So i firewired it to my 17"au book then rebooted the AU book using the G3 hard drive using startup disc.
All works fine now.
