how do you uninstall apps on the powerbook?

For most, just drag them to the bin and then empty it.
Some come with their own uninstaller.

This should be in the mac os section.

Which apps?

Generally, all you need to do is drag the application's icon from the /Applications folder to the trash and empty the trash. Some apps also store files elsewhere (such as /Library/Application Support or ~/Library/Application Support) which you might want to delete as well.
