My PowerBook 867 died on me this weekend after I accidentally spilled a glass of water on it. I had to get a replacement and couldn't afford another PowerBook, so I opted for a 14" iBook, which had the most bang for my very limited buck. I was worried I would not like using it after my PowerBook, but so far, this machine has done nothing but surprise me. I am currently running it out of the box as I haven't been able to order some extra RAM yet, and I was able to handle some Photoshop and InDesign in it this morning with no problems at all.
And there's something really whimsical about the white plastic. I feel like I want to play and create and make amazing things on it.
My only regret is I can't take it to work with me. I hate this Dell

Congrats on your new 14"! I just got a 12" iBook Stock Standard and it's amazing. I'm loving it. The white plastic is just so darn attractive, as you said. Anyway, my iBook has run Dreamweaver, Fireworks, and GarageBand flawlessly. :-)
