Now that I'll be living off campus at uni I've decided to go with a laptop to avoid the hell that is the labs and I ordered a 12" iBook and a green iPod mini, taking advantage of Apple's gracious Student Union offer. The iPod arrived this week and its fabulous (even though it took me hours on Windows ME to find a solution for putting music on it - I hate ME) and my iBook will arrive early next week just before I move - perfect!

Or almost perfect. Obviously I need a stylish bag to carry my stylish new computer in and I've liked Tucano's bags for quite some time, especially the Low Limit backpack or the Horizontal Limit (small) messenger bag as they fit my computer and let my carry my accesories and some paper and a book or two. I know they aren't huge bags but I think they'd do fine. I don't fancy a lot of weight on my shoulders. They are also in my price range. I'd value the opinions of anyone who's used these bags.

My problem is that I have far been totally unsuccesful in finding a retailer who sells these bags that is either located in Canada or will ship to Canada without me sending them a pound of flesh first! This is very frustrating knowing what I want and not being able to get it.

So, if anyone knows a store that ships internationally without huge hassle or better yet a Canadian retailer that sells Tucano bags I'd love to hear about them. I'd adore either bag in red but could go with the grey too.

I dunno how set you are on that bag, but I searched a while for a good backpack for my iBook and found one for $32.00 CAD at Mountain Equipment Co-op. High quality pack with good laptop pocket for cheap. I've been using this for school for the past year and haven't come across anything better.

Thanks for the suggestion, the bags MEC offers do look like a nice option and its a Canadian company, although the bags are made in Vietnam. I guess they don't export to the US...

In regard to the Tucano bags I have found a Canaidan supplier at www.atlantia.ca and they say any of their resellers can order the bags so they will be emailing a list of the ones local to me. So if anyone else is looking for TUcano products in Canada that seems to be the way to go.
