What's the best way to clean my 12" G4 iBook's screen? In spite of never touching the screen. There are still a bunch of spots on it after 6 months.
What's the preferred method? What does Apple recommend?
Thanks very much in advance,
Chris

If that is not sufficient you can use a solvent of water with a slight drop of washing up liquid. That removes the grease.
The screens are astonishingly robust. I used my Dell Latitude at work to check how bad you can treat them. I really rubbed it hard and I did not find any scratch on the screen afterwards.

There is a product that I use to clean my vinyl record albums. It works extremely well to cut out the crud on them. Testing, I also found out that it works well on LCD screens. I now use it to cleanse the screens on my iMac G4 and Clamshell. It's non-alcoholic, and can really make an LCD screen 'shine'. One source is:

A bit pricy in that you have to buy a 32 oz. bottle minimum, but if you have other uses for this product it may be worth the investment.
Note: I am not a 'shill' for this product. This is simply my honest evaluation after having used it for about 2 years. It may be nothing more than distilled water for all I know. But it does work.

iKlear is specifically developed for Apple Computer Products. Klearscreen is a general use product for cleaning TV's, monitors, other notebooks, etc.
