I have a 15inch TI 1ghz pbook. I connected my Pbook and G5 via firewire then after I disconnected it by ejecting it in the trash, I tried to start it up again and it just gets stuck at the grey apple. I don't have any of my original Powerbook cd's is there anything else I can do. I did a PMU reset and that didn't seem to work. I could always try it again, anyone have anything similar happen to them or could help me out.

Try to boot up in single user mode and repair the filesystem.
Right after you hear the bong noise when you boot up press and hold the apple key and the s key.
After a few seconds the computer will display a black screen with a few info.
Do fsck -y and leave it to do it's job. If your system has journaling enabled you will have to type one more command that I can't remember right now. But do not worry because the system will tell you what to type.
Hope this helps
