I need to get myself a stand for my 17" Powerbook and have looked at these so far. I would love to hear feedback from anyone that owns or has looked at any of these, or others I should take a look at.

Which is the best? I guess it depends on what you want it for - raising, cooling etc

Personally I am looking for something that will allow me to both use the PB as a desktop whilst also cooling it. I plan to use a wireless Keyboard and Mouse.

CoolPad

Others:

Powerlift

This is an interesting comparison (albeit probably biased) which includes many of the popular stands.

Looking forward to some feedback

I have a PB17 and love the iCurve. I have an iLap and it hasn't done much for me.

I was very surprise to see that the XT-Stand didn't make the list. It seems very nice and I am seriously considering it. I already have the iCurve and love it immensely. The only reason for my considering the XT-Stand is for its portability. It folds up very nicely and comes with a plastic carrying case that would fit in my computer bag perfectly. You can find the XT-Stand at :

the xt-stand is awesome (imho, the case is unnecessary); small & light, really well-designed.

my fave of the (now three!) stands i have tried...

I have the cool pad (well I'm borrowing my dad's).

It's 2 big positives: being adjustable and the fact that it swivels. This is kind of addictive. Otherwise does a good job of helping the tiBook cool.

Have the iCurve and it's an excellent stand that is simple with no gimmicks built in. Use the Cool Pad too with another machine and find that is also a good stand.

I went ahead and ordered a X-T stand for when I take my PB to work (or out). Will report back when it arrives early next week.

that x-t stand sure is pricey. i just pop the stands off of my coolpad and put them in my bag and works exactly the same, weighs less than an ounce and costs nothing.

i gotta say, the x-t stand was worth it to me...
works great, easy to carry (sans silly case),
and looks great (if anyone cares).

everywhere i take it, people admire it (after f*cking with me for being so "geeky")

I've been looking at this from staples.com Allsop stand
Relatively inexpensive, comes in 4 or 5 sizes and styles. and I can put my external keyboard under it.
My co-worker has 1 of these but its preforated stainless steel, telephone stand I'm trying to find where she got it.
