My 1 GB JumpDrive worked fine a few weeks ago, but I popped it in today and something is wacky. The drive shows up on my desktop but it shows no files inside. It says i have 3 MB of space left and when I pop it in Norton AntiVirus does a scan of all the files - but when I open the drive it doesnt show anything.

Anyone know whats wrong?

how's it formatted?

if you open up terminal and type cd /volumes/driveName (return) and then ls -al (return) do the files show?
some people are like slinkys: they don't do much, but are fun to push down stairs.

HFS, HFS+, NTFS formatted? if you click on it and cmd+i, does it show the same 3MB of space left as the NAV scan?

can you add files?

Yes it says :

USED: 973.2 MB
AVAILABLE: 2.9 MB

FORMAT: MS-DOS System (FAT16)

Nothing shows up in the files section. So I can't delete anything to add other stuff.

Trying plugging it into a windows machine and see what happens. Does the drive support any type of encryption?
