Ok here is the strangest thing I have encountered, I can run off the battery just cant recharge the battery. (thank the Great apple for second battery).

A week or so ago I was having a power issue. The power cord didn’t seem to be connecting solid or something (No green light on the male connector ). At that time I could giggle the connection a little and it would light up…I replaced the power line (Ac adapter) bought 2 of them in fact…still having the same issue with all three AC adapters.

Then one night nothing could not get it to except power from the cord, no green light (battery was not getting a charge) I powered down and back up but still nothing frome the power cord. Switched out the AC adapters. Nothing seemed to work

Now I will digress here to say the computer seems to run fine on the battery but I cant recharge the battery.

I figre the DC in board is wonky or something. So I got another one.
I have replaced the DC in board but that dose not seem to be the issue.

Now I have 2 extra screws. I thought and still think they are from the Heat shield, but I am thinking maybe there is some where that a connection is made by the screws that I missed. I know there is 1 screw that holds the DC in board down. But I don’t see any other screw holes connected with this part of the Ibook. I have checked the connection and it seems to be solid.

I have gone through several tech manuals for assembly and disassembly of the Ibook but nothing jumps out a possible gremlin.

Can any one offer any insight into what may be happening here.
The Imposable begins only at your imaginations end.
