Download VLC.

By the way, in the future, this is more of a topic for the Software - Applications forum. Search in there for this topic, which has come up many times before.

It's likely that your video file is a DivX movie (i guess). You can try to :

- download the DivX codec for Quicktime : http://www.divx.com/divx/download/
- download mplayer : http://www2.mplayerhq.hu/MPlayer/rel...CVS-050724.dmg
- download VLC as stated above.

Another vote for VLC - one of the best video solutions for Windows, Linux, and the Mac.

If you didn't use it on Windows, either, you were missing out.

Depends on where you want to view them. If all you want it to view them on a computer, you can use either a CD-R or a DVD-R, and burn them as files. If you want them to play in a regular DVD player, it gets a little more complicated, and I believe you may have to make a VCD, but someone in the Digital Video & Audio forum can help you more.

The other forums are for more specific topics like the one you're asking about, while this one is for Powerbook-specific questions.

I believe that Roxio's Toast version 7 (just released) is now able to convert DivX films directly to DVD or VCD format. Check their site, then that would be your one-stop solution to all burning needs.
