I have recently recieved my new 15inch 1.67Mhz powerbook and when the machine is on or even sleeping, if you slide your fingers across anypart of the metallic surface of the machine, you can feel an electonic-like vibration in your fingers and hand. Is this normal? or is there a problem? Its giving me a headache.

It's probably the CD drive spinning.

This is a computer-generated message and needs no signature.

It´s static charge of the metallic surface. This effect was first discribed for the Tibooks. It´s not dangerous and has nothing to do with the spinning drives.

enjoy your PB!

If your power connection is grounded it'll be gone.
