I have a 17" PowerBook and a 15" LCD display that while connected and detected work great together. I also have a TV connected to my powerbook w/ S-Video which while detected works great with my PB screen as a secondary problem.
So the problem with these 3 displays is that I can only use 2 at a time. It only allows resolution options for 1 external display at a time and depending on whcih one i choose, either the TV will pop on as the 2nd display, leaving the LCD inactive...or else my LCD will pop, leaving the TV inactive.
Does anyone know of a setting or plugin i could use to run 2 external display simultaneously using both the monitor output and the s-video output???
I would really like to be running 3 dedicated displays for audio and video editing programs.

I think the poster doesn't want to have to purchase any more hardware. However, the mobile graphics chips in the current Powerbooks only support one external display at a time. You would have to buy something like what was mentioned to support an extra screen. If you need that many screens, you should have a desktop computer where you can add extra video cards as needed.

1) Couldn't you have started a new thread on this?
2) If you have no color with an s-video connection, there is something wrong with the chrominance signal coming from the Powerbook. Have you tried another cable? Checked the pins in the cable to make sure they're not bent? If it's not the cable, you could have a logic board or graphics chip problem.

1. ok, have done so.
2. there is colour providing I go through another converter box, so it appears as if the threshold on this tv is too high for a straight cable?

I'm not sure I understand what you are talking about. What is this converter box? If things were fine before with this TV and now they're not, some box in the middle is not going to fix things.
