I just got an Alesis Photon X25 MIDI USB controller, which is pretty sweet. Except that if I connect it to my iBook 600, I get the grey screen of death.
It did this when I first plugged it in. Rebooted, tried it a second time and it worked fine. Now if I try to turn it on it crashes the iBook every time.
It has a selection of bus powered, battery powered, or AC, but I really need it to work in bus powered mode (which is what won't work). I have the power adapter plugged into the iBook, battery fully charged, CPU performance set to highest.
I swapped USB cables with no change, plugged it into my PC and it worked perfectly. Any thoughts or help is much appreciated.
