Hi,

After a few weeks with tiger, I'm wondering if I should go back to panther. Specifically, I am currently running tiger on my 500mhz pismo, and 400mhz titanium powerbooks. They run fine, but I do notice that the laptops are running much warmer than when I had them on panther.

Have you noticed the same? Were there any other negative experiences with tiger? And have you switched back to panther? Let me know your reasons for what you did.

Thanks so much!!

With Spotlight making my life so much easier finding that critical but obscure file, there's pretty much no going back for me.

But on my Pismo / 400, I did not notice any adverse effects of Tiger.

I have noticed my Powerbook 1.33ghz 12" running hotter with Tiger, but Spotlight and the dashboard are enough for me to deal with a little extra heat.

I have Tiger installed on an external firewire drive to test before I buy and install. Since I use launchbar (and have a licence) I don't see the point why I need spotlight. Launchbar does not heat the system up and it indexes quickly .

There are no more advantages of Tiger that I see (except a little nicer user interface - more stripes are gone - yahoo).
