I've got one that came with my mini ipod (oddly enough even though I'm in the UK - Which might not be of much help)

If you can, it's better to use the three-prong cord instead of this adaptor (called a duck bill) because of the grounded third prong. It's safer for your Powerbook if a power strip is not handy. You may be able to get one of these at an Apple store.

Oddly enough, I've lost track of my power cord. I think you can buy one at the Apple Store. Or contact Small Dog and they probably have them.
He can be fixed -- you can't.

wait, they gave you an american-based plug even though uk has a different design? that's odd -- do you still need it?

well, my set up is as follows: i keep the three-prong cord plugged into my outlet behind my bed -- and unattach it at the actual "adapter" part, when i leave. it's hard to get to the plug, so that's why i leave that in there. i then use the small piece that i took a picture of at my desk, which uses a power strip ... so i'm not harming it this way, right?

right now i'm using the small piece from my ipod adapter ... it gets really annoying having to switch all of the things around all of the time

Most Apple retail stores should have them in stock. You'd have to wait at the Genius Bar to get a "repair" done. However, since that is a scrap part, you technically don't need a core replacement in the form of a bad one. Before waiting, ask one of the Geniuses if they'd be willing to "sell" you one in a repair, since you technically need to bring a bad one in. As long as they are willing to do it, make sure you take something with a serial number, and it costs about $10 depending on the sales tax in your area.
