I have a 15" G4 1.67Gh and when I try to set the time zone it is 3 hours off in the system preference window, but correct in tool bar. This would not be a bother except that all other software (email, alarms, etc) run on the incorrect (3 hours later) time. I have tried PRAM and Power resets to no avail.

I can provide screen shots if anyone cares to email me for more information.

Choose the correct time zone in system prefs and then set the time to be correct (or use the "set date & time automatically". If it is the auto date time that is setting the time incorrectly then make sure that you have the correct server for your area.

I am still struggling with this problem. I have found that I can select almost any time zone in the world, but the one I am in (Hawaii). I would very much appreciate any help.

To select the time zone you are in you have to click where you are on the map in the system preferences ->Date & Time ->Time Zone. Then you can select your "Closest" City.

I found this very unintuitive when I first had to set the time zone!
