On my PB 15, everytime I have used it this week the sound has been faded to the left. I have to go back into sound preferences and re-center it. I have yet to find what or how this is happening. All I have installed lately is iTunes 5.0.1. Any ideas why its doing this?? I'm the only one who use this computer BTW.

Thanks,
TIM

I think this happens when you use iChat for audio/video chat. I get the same thing on my iBook. This is to avoid echo because the microphone on the IBook is on the right. I guess it might be the same for the PowerBook... not sure where the micro is...

Same here. Always shifts to the left. Especially after plugging in/out headphones.

I don't use iChat, and haven't been able to pinpoint a single app responsible for it. I think it might be a Tiger bug.

It's a bug, been there for awhile, since Panther. There are a number of threads on this issue here already.

For me, it seems to manifest itself when using the keyboard volume buttons while the machine is stalling/busy doing something.

I also have this issue. I have no idea what causes it. I do use head phones a lot though.
