ok i might be looking at getting an HD camera in the future, and ive never edited in HD mode on my powerbook before but my question is, can my powerbook handle it??

or for that matter, can a powerbook in general handle HD editing??

mines only 1Ghz, 1.25GB ram, 32Mb graphic card...

should i upgrade to the best 15" powerbook, or just go for a g5 tower?

Is that a 12"? It in theory meets the minimum requirements. I think editing (via the AIC) will be a breeze, but getting to and from that will be the real drag.

You've also got the screen resolution to think about. You can't view HD at 1:1 on the 12". You can't even view 1080i on the 17"
