Over the last few days, my AC adapter has started getting quirky - connection into the wall and into my iBook are both ok, but it goes to battery power as if it's not plugged in. I've dropped it (the adapter, not the iBook) several times over the last 4 years, so I'm not surprised it's having problems. My question is can I use the Macally AC Adapter for G4 Powerbooks/iBooks with my G3? or do I have to buy a more expensive adapter from Apple directly? My battery also needs replacing, so having a working adapter is a bit critical... thanks.

I use the same adapter between my g3 500 Ibook and my 12" g4 powerbook
