Right now my only computer is my iBook. There is a PC in the house, but at this point its whole point of existing is so my Sister in law has a place she can do her homework and online classes on without being disturbed.

now, because of that, and my unwillingness to shell out money on another computer until I have bought a house.... I want to do a few minor upgrades to my ibook. First off, 30 gig is not enough, and that's all the internal HD is in this machine. I want a bigger HD, but I want it external. Second, I want a DVD +/- RW, again, external. I want the HD to be USB 2.0 & FW, and the burner can be either or, it makes no difference.

Does that sound like a workable system? Or rather, any tips/advice/comments on that particular setup before I go spend money on it?

Thanks in advance.
