Hi, I'm using a powerbook G4 15". I have an additional monitor connected to it. And was wondering if i could have a tv connected to it from its s-video port simultaniously. So far I could only detect one out of the two displays.

Thanks

I'm pretty sure it's not possible.

yes you can.
You need to use a FW (or maybe USB) port with some video acquisition stuff from http://www.miglia.com/ for example.
Super low cost and does a real nice job.

I think the poster is referring to extra external displays, not importing video. OreoCookie's solution is the only way to have more than one external display because the graphics chip in the Powerbook can only handle the internal display and only one external display. You'd need a PC card with its own graphics hardware to handle more.

Whoa. That's cool.

IF you buy a tv tuner with an extra port that will work or a firewire i think works too.

I have this PC Card hooked up to Apple Cinema Display 17" and the built in DVI port connected to another 17 inch display.

For most part it works, as long as you do not use it for any other reason then viewing text.
If you try to play QT or DVD on this screen it will skip frames.

Can't pull out the card, otherwise you will crash the system.

Can't plug it in after you've turn on the Laptop.
