The Powermate G4 will redefine mobile computing as we know it today.

G4 1.4GHZ Processor
10" TFT LCD Screen
512MB DDR Memory
40GB Hard Drive
2 USB
1 Firewire
Airport Extreme
Bluetooth

All housed in an attractive polycarbonate casing. Although lacking and optical drive, it is a straightforward 'internet and email' laptop. Aiming mostly for a more mobile group of individuals. Users can still use their devices on the Powermate G4, such as iSight and the iPod, download their music and transfer it to their iPod. Or have video conferences via iChat. With built in Aiport Extreme, this provides an excellent solution for a truly mobile laptop.

We can expect to see Apple annouce this product around mid November. Screenshots will be posted soon.

Made it up last night?

If it promotes using the iPod, i don't see how not having an optical drive would help.
I'm sure many users actually still pay for cd's or media in the sense and not everyone d/l's off iTunes music store..

It will basically be a the little brother to the ibook. It will do what the mini did for the iPod.
