I just got my 1gb stick of RAM from newegg last nite, and after popping it into my powerbook multiple times, the Powerbook just won't recognize that its in there. It has slot 1 as the 512mb i ordered it with, but slot 2 is empty (but it really has the 1gb stick in it). I just talked to newegg, and they said I can return it for a refund, but I don't want to have to go through that. I want to have my 1.5gb of RAM! Any suggestions? By the way, I have a PB G4 15" 1.5ghz, and the RAM was: KINGMAX 1GB 200-Pin DDR SO-DIMM DDR 333 (PC 2700) Notebook Memory - OEM

PLEASE HELP!

try resetting the pram....
hold down command (apple) - option - p - r
when you startup.
wait for the mac chime to sound THREE TIMES, then release the keys, let it book.
see if that helps.

if not...probably worth swapping the ram...
