i saw this in another thread here and thought it was pretty cool >> http://store.apple.com/1-800-MY-APPL...plm=M9319G%2FA
and its pretty cheap so i wanted to mess around with it, i thought id be pretty cool to put some stuff on my tv that is next to my desk ya know..

well it doesnt fit, i have a 12" powerbook 1Ghz, its exactly like the most recent ones they've made as far as options n what connectors it has.....

but the end that is supposed to go into the computer is (what looks like) half of the size it should be, is there a converter that i need to buy or something? it should work with a 12" or so it states!! my computer has a "mini dvi" connector and this thing is supposedly for the "mini dvi" thingy, but yet it is smaller...

ive used my laptop with dozens of monitors before via the mini dvi to vga converter that came with it, and the connector is taller by a bit on it..

thanks for any help.

Older 12" PBs had a 'Mini VGA' connector which is what is currently used on iBooks.
The corresponding adapter that will work is:

Are you sure that you don't need the mini VGA to TV instead of the mini DVI to TV adapter. Also, shouldn't copy direct Applestore links. I clicked on your link and am recognized under your name (Robcherto). It will time out and be a non-working link eventually.

The 1GHz 12" Powerbok has mini-DVI.

Yes. Only the first 12" Aluminum PB (867 MHz) used the mini-VGA connector found on the white iBooks. All the following 12" Powerbooks (1 GHz, 1.33 GHz, 1.5 GHz) use the mini-DVI connector. The link that works above is to the mini-VGA connector, the wrong one for your machine.
