i have a 2 year old aluminum powerbook that won't shutdown. everytime i quit all applications and try to shut down it goes blank for a second and then starts doing the rainbow wheel of death until i have to manually shut it down by holding down the button. it also then takes a really long time to start up after, but otherwise runs smoothly until i need to shut down again. Anyone have a similar problem or know of any solutions?

thanks in advance,
darren
