I bought a used 800MHz G3 iBook a few months ago but I don't think it had been used before. It was still in it's plastic and all the stickers were still on it. Even if it was used, it couldn't have been used hard because there wasn't a scratch or smudge on it.
The battery didn't have any juice in it so I charged it up. It read as charged in Jaguar and when I pressed the button on it all lights were lit. When I unplugged the power from the iBook it gave me a warning that there was low battery power and it died seconds later.
Is there a way to restore capacitance or bring it back to some kind of life?

But it's also very possible that a battery that old is dead. Especially if it got no use, it might have been stored completely empty for a long time, which kills that type of battery.
